Interested in booking your band at Big Bear Lodge? Andres Institute of Art is lucky to have the Big Bear Lodge as our performance venue located within our Welcome Center in Brookline, NH. Nestled within the Andres Institute of Art Welcome Center, the Big Bear Lodge offers a unique and enchanting setting for live music performances. This historic ski lodge boasts stunning acoustics, creating an intimate and immersive experience for both performers and audiences. Big Bear Lodge housed all of the entertainment for the Big Bear Mountain ski area until it closed in the early 1980’s.
The live music lived on, even after the ski area closed. Many local and national acts came to play in this wonderful-sounding music room. Bands and musical acts like Aerosmith, J. Geils, James Montgomery Band, The Ballou Brothers, Roots of Creation and many more local and national acts have played at Big Bear Lodge.
After a short hiatus with the global pandemic, Andres Institute of Art has fired up the music again and brings in local and global acts for all to enjoy. The Live at the Andres Concert Series started in 2023 to bring live music back to this historic venue and to benefit the art, trails and mission of the Andres Institute of Art.
A Sound to Remember: The natural wood and open-beam construction of the lodge lend a warm and resonant quality to the sound, allowing music to truly come alive. With a comfortable capacity of up to 120 guests, the space maintains an intimate atmosphere, fostering a close connection between the artists and their Audience
Designed for Performance: The Big Bear Lodge is equipped to host a wide range of musical acts, from solo acoustic acts to 19 piece big bands. Our Stage and Sound volunteers will help you with setup/sound-check, dialing in your monitors just right, and putting out the best possible mix to the room for your live performance
State-of-the-Art Equipment: A dedicated green room/audio room provides a comfortable space for performers to relax and prepare before their show. A professional PA sound system, featuring a Roland 40-channel digital mixer donated by BoardzHouse Productions ensures pristine audio quality for your performance. 15 fixture DMX lighting illuminates the stage, creating a dynamic and visually engaging performance space
