The Compaq Big Band showcases the power of 14 horns, a cookin' rhythm section, great vocalists, and terrific instrumental soloists - the nineteen talented musicians will craft a concert you won't soon forget! Pulling from jazz standards, swing favorites and the Great American Songbook, the songs often bring people to their feet and onto the dance floor. This large band plays regularly, and has been performing together for 49 years!

This special Saturday edition of the concert will allow the audience the chance to mingle with the 2024 AIA International Sculpture Symposium artists at a special reception beforehand and share with them a great presentation of American music culture. More details will follow as the date gets closer and will be sent to all ticket holders.

Plan to bring friends and get your tickets now! The venue is the AIA Welcome Center event space, a cozy, rustic room with great acoustics and all table-seating. There is an elevator from the exhibit space on the first floor to the second floor event space. There will be light hors d'oeuvres served at the reception. You may bring any meal or snacks you want to your concert table - whether from home, or grab something from Brookline's Finest right downstairs, or another local restaurant. Beverage service is provided with donation requested. All beverage and ticket proceeds support the various activities of the Andres Institute of Art, such as the 24th Annual Sculpture Symposium.
