The Fall Iron Melt was another rousing success! Participants have found that having time (and tools) at home to carve the sand molds helps to boost creativity! However, watching the molten iron flowing into the carved mold is amazing. We have missed hosting the public to view the pour. The hope and intent is for an in-person iron pour for the Spring Iron Melt, with molds carved either in person or remotely (at home) if health precautions permit and viewing of the iron pour at the studio. Watch for updates, or sign up for the newsletter so you don’t miss it. Curious about the Iron Melts? Check out this video to learn more about the iron melt process.
