The cohort of three sculptors are busy creating their works that will reside along the trails of the AIA Sculpture Park. One sculptor, Fermin Casto, is experimenting with stone carving for the first time. He usually works with wood. Marin Murakoshi is enjoying a large-scale piece than she usually makes. Dankha Zomaya is feeling the challenge of creating a second piece on the hill after his successful installation of Zomaya Goats in the 2022 Symposium. You can watch the progress of the 2026 sculptures up at the Studio. Mark your calendar for the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, October 4th at 1pm. We will visit each of the new sculptures in place along the trails and hear from each sculptor about their piece and their process and insights.
