The AIA Welcome Center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am – 4pm. Inside the Welcome Center you can see photos of the past Symposium artists at work, a large diorama of the sculpture park hill and several works by Master Sculptor and AIA Art Director John Weidman. The comfortable room also includes couches, tables and chairs to gather, rest or enjoy a snack with wifi and restrooms available. There are also AIA gift shop items such as t-shirts, stickers, calendar and the recent book documenting the career of John Weidman. A volunteer docent is available to answer questions.

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity? Maybe a weekday shift once a week or a weekend day once a month? Training is available. The Center is air conditioned, there is a comfortable desk and chair. Brookline’s Finest is a tenant within the Welcome Center facility. They are open daily 9-5, so you are not alone in the building.

Pop in on a Tuesday or Thursday 11-4 to chat with Barbara who has been volunteering since last summer. You can also reach out to Kristi St. Laurent at president@andresinstitute.org. Help us welcome people to the treasure that is the AIA.
