Come Take a Guided Sculpture walk with us on June 7th – National Trails Day!
WHEN: 10AM – JUNE 7th
MEET: Parking Lot in front of the AIA Welcome Center – #106 Route 13 in Brookline NH
Celebrate National Trails Day with a guided sculpture walk at the Andres Institute of Art. Our experienced trail docent and president, Kristi St. Laurent, will lead you on a hike through this beautiful mountainside sculpture park. You’ll discover the rich history of the park, learning how it transformed from a ski area into the home of the Andres Institute of Art and Big Bear Lodge Performance venue. Kristi will share fascinating details about the 104 (and growing!) permanent sculptures, the mountain itself, its wildlife, and local flora as you explore the pristine park and expansive trails.
Take the AHS #NationalTrailsDay Pledge at their link (any trail, anywhere, leave it better) and be entered to win one of four hiking equipment packages offered by the American Hiking Society. Link: https://americanhiking.org/national-trails-day/#pledge Small bags will be available for anyone who wants to pick up trash along the guided hike.
If you post on social media, please tag @andresinstituteofart. If you also tag @americanhiking and #NationalTrailsDay you will be entered in their photo contest. The photo contest and the pledge drawing both end June 14th.
