Special after-dark guided hike when the park is usually closed. FREE event, registration required – use the link.
Meet in the Welcome Center at 7:45pm or at the summit for the sunset (8:14 pm). Anticipate 2.5 hours once we leave the Welcome Center.
Recommended gear includes water & snack, trekking poles, sturdy shoes, bug repellant, phone or camera and a headlamp or flashlight for emergencies. We will be hiking in low-light and moonlit conditions so the lights are only for emergencies to preserve adjustment to night vision.
There is no cost to attend. We are a volunteer-run non-profit organization and donations are gratefully accepted.
