Murphy Clark Band Concert

- Description
Murphy-Clark is a lively and entertaining Modern Rock band playing original songs with the occasional classic mixed in. Their sound is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac meeting R.E.M. for a jam on David Byrne’s back deck. Check them out on Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music.
Murphy-Clark is an engaging group of regional music professionals and teachers, including frontman Brian F. Murphy on guitar and vocals, Clark Creative producer/engineer Mike Clark on bass, and Indie Music store owner and drum instructor Jeff Harrington on drums. Former Aquahtenang singers Cindy Mendel and Marian Murphy provide exceptional lead and harmony vocals, and Gary Young, legendary guitarist and singer, rounds out this all-star group of friends.
Concerts are upstairs at the AIA Welcome Center, formerly known as the Big Bear Lodge. The room is rustic, cozy and acoustically resonant. It features all table-seating with the audience limited to about 100 guests. Beverage service is available with donation requested. Food is available downstairs at Brookline’s Finest or bring in snacks from home or takeout. An elevator is available from the first floor AIA Gallery. Come early to hike the Sculpture Park, ten miles of trails and over 120 sculptures. The park is open to the public daily for free (donation requested) and events such as the concerts help raise funds for art, nature and mission of the AIA.
