Twice a year we hold our infamous Iron Melt. Purchase a mold online and pick up in the Welcome Center, or purchase directly in the Welcome Center or at an AIA event. Take the mold home to carve with the provided tool or another device you have at home (a Dremel Tool or what have you). Bring it back to the AIA, preferably before the 17th of October to help with preparations. We will fire up the furnace and aim to pour the molten iron (melted brake rotors) by 2pm. We cool them, grind off rough edges and give them a little polish and send them home with you! If you turn your mold in early but can’t make the pour (or can’t stay til it is cooled) you can pick your tile(s) up starting the following Wednesday in the Welcome Center.
