John M. Weidman: A Familiar Place is a compilation of the artist's career, depicting his work, exhibits and awards. Since the recent publication of the book, Mr. Weidman was named the 2023 New Hampshire Governor's Arts Award for Distinguished Leadership in the Arts. Part of his mission has been to train up and encourage the next generation of artists. This book presents his career both to inform, but also to serve as an example to future artists of a long, non-linear lifelong career through many media, countries and settings. The book is the work of several dedicated volunteers, including John's wife Nadiya. Publication was made possible with support from Freedom's Way Partnership Grant Program.
